Tuna Poke Bowl


Such huge numbers of Jab Bowl plans disillusion with dull dressings and bland rice. Skirt the locally acquired! Custom made truly IS more delicious, you get the chance to top it with what you need and it’s a hell of significantly less expensive as well!!!



2 cups (400g) sushi rice, flushed (Note 1)

2 1/2 cups (625 ml) water

SUSHI RICE Flavoring:

1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar (Note 2)

2 tsp sugar, white

1/4 tsp salt


1.5 tbsp light or universally handy soy sauce (Note 3)

2 tsp dark soy (Note 3)

2.5 tbsp toasted sesame oil (Note 4)

2 tbsp mirin (Note 5)

2 tbsp rice vinegar (Note 2)

2.5 tsp chili glue or Sriracha

1.5 tsp grated ginger, new


350g/12oz sashimi evaluation tuna (or salmon, trout or kingfish), diced 0.7cm/1/4″ dice (Note 7)

1 small carrot, finely julienned

1 cucumber, deseeded and finely diced (Note 7)

1 small avocado, stripped and cut into 8 wedges (or shakers)

6 red radish, finely cut

1 cup shelled edamame, bubbled or steamed per parcel (Note 8)

1 green onion, finely cut on the corner to corner

Dark sesame seeds



Spot water and rice in a huge pot over medium-high warmth, no top.

When it reaches boiling point (see video), lower warmth to medium-low, place cover on and leave for 18 – 20 minutes or until water is totally retained). Try not to mix, Don’t expel cover!

Expel from stove with cover still on and leave undisturbed for 15 minutes.

SUSHI RICE Flavoring:

Blend Sushi Flavoring fixings until sugar breaks up.

Spread rice out into enormous container (23 x 33cm/9 x 13″), sprinkle half Flavoring everywhere.

Utilizing a rice oar OR elastic spatula, slice through the rice and tenderly overlay the rice over (see video!) to blend the Flavoring through.

Following 1 moment of blending, shower remaining Flavoring at that point cut/overlap for 1 moment. Will look wet yet will assimilate in the following stage.
